Specification Sales Executive
£32,000–£36,000

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative construction products and is looking for a Specification Sales Executive to join their growing team!
This is an opportunity for someone with a customer service or sales background who enjoys making initial contact with prospective customers and building lasting relationships. Full product and technical training will be provided, so previous construction-product experience is not essential.
Specification Sales Executive Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify prospective customers, construction projects and specification opportunities
- Make initial contact with architects, designers, specifiers and other decision-makers
- Introduce the company and its products by telephone, email and online meetings
- Build relationships, understand customer needs and qualify potential opportunities
- Maintain contact with prospective customers and follow up at the appropriate stages of their projects
- Keep accurate records of conversations, project details and next steps on the CRM system
- Work with the Sales and Technical teams to ensure customers receive the right information and support
- Develop knowledge of the company’s products, applications and specification process through full training
- Provide product information and support customer presentations and CPDs as knowledge develops
- Help progress specification opportunities through the sales pipeline

The Ideal Specification Sales Executive Will Have:
- Experience in customer service, sales, internal sales, account management or business development
- Confidence starting conversations and developing new customer relationships
- Strong communication, questioning and listening skills
- A proactive approach to following up opportunities
- Good organisation and experience maintaining customer records or using a CRM system
- An interest in learning about technical products; construction industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Specification Sales Executive Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm
