About Simply Blue Energy:
Founded in 2011 under the brand Simply Blue Group, Simply Blue Energy (SBE) was formally established in 2025 to recognise Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.’s (“KEPCO”) Share Subscription Agreement with Simply Blue Energy (OSW) Ltd, the offshore wind division of Simply Blue Group.
Simply Blue Energy is an ambitious, values-driven company at the forefront of the global blue economy and is actively developing a significant offshore wind portfolio comprising of 8 GW of floating offshore wind and 4 GW of fixed-bottom wind projects across multiple markets.
Our offshore wind portfolio includes Erebus, a 100MW test and demonstration project, which was awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) in 2026, and the Salamander project in Scotland. The portfolio also comprises Emerald, Western Star and Aird Mhòr na Mara in Ireland, as well as projects in Spain and Portugal developed under the IberBlue Wind platform. About Erebus by Blue Gem Wind:
Erebus is a world leading 100 MW test and demonstration floating offshore wind project located off the coast of Pembroke and is being developed by Simply Blue Energy’s Blue Gem Wind project company. Erebus was awarded a CfD in Allocation Round 7 and as a fully consented project now enters late-stage development, targeting a COD in 2030. The project is progressing through project finance structuring towards Financial Close.
Purpose of the role:
At Simply Blue Energy, we are always interested in connecting with talented people who are passionate about renewable energy and would like to contribute to the development and delivery of our offshore wind portfolio.
This speculative application is not linked to a specific current vacancy. Experience and Qualifications:
Required:
- Relevant professional, technical, project or corporate experience applicable to the type of role in which you are interested.
- Relevant qualifications, professional training and/or equivalent practical experience appropriate to your area of expertise.
- An ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An organised and proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- A commitment to high professional standards, integrity and responsible working practices.
- An interest in renewable energy and in contributing to Simply Blue Energy’s activities and objectives.
Desired:
- Depending on the nature of future opportunities, it may be advantageous to have:
- Previous experience within offshore wind, renewable energy, energy, infrastructure or another relevant sector.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
- Knowledge of the offshore wind project development lifecycle and/or major infrastructure projects.
- Relevant professional accreditation or membership of a professional body.
- Experience working across different jurisdictions, organisations, joint ventures or project partners.
