Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Therapist role based in Wendover. The Therapist will provide direct therapeutic support to children and young people, including individual and group sessions tailored to social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting assessments
- Developing and implementing care plans
- Maintaining accurate case notes and reports
The Therapist will collaborate closely with teaching staff, support staff, families, and external professionals to integrate therapeutic approaches into the school environment. The role also involves:
- Contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings
- Delivering staff guidance or training on therapeutic strategies
- Supporting whole-school wellbeing initiatives
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in a relevant therapeutic discipline (e.g., counseling, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, educational psychology) and appropriate registration or accreditation with a recognized professional body.
- Experience providing therapeutic support to children and young people, ideally within an educational, specialist, or clinical setting.
- Strong assessment, care planning, and report-writing skills, with the ability to maintain accurate, confidential records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with learners, families, school staff, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices, child development, and trauma-informed or neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
- Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and respond calmly and professionally in challenging situations.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practice, and to ongoing professional learning and development.

Desirable:
- Experience in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Group facilitation
- Delivering staff training on wellbeing or mental health
