SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Location: North Yorkshire (Community-Based, Multi-Site)

Start Date: September

Contract: Minimum 6 months (until end of March)

Working Pattern: Full-time

Pay: £365/day (Umbrella) | £317.39/day (PAYE equivalent)


JOB OVERVIEW

Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join a paediatric community service covering North Yorkshire. This role supports the mobilisation of a new service launching in September and offers a minimum 6-month contract running to the end of March.

You will manage a community-based, lower-complexity paediatric caseload, working across multiple sites within North Yorkshire. This model reflects a Herts-style approach, focusing on early intervention, functional outcomes, and collaborative working with families and education settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, diagnose and treat paediatric speech, language and communication needs
  • Deliver community-based therapy across York, Selby and Scarborough
  • Work closely with families, schools and MDTs to support intervention plans
  • Contribute to care planning and deliver targeted therapy programmes
  • Manage a lower-complexity caseload within a structured community model
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
  • Paediatric and/or community experience preferred
  • Confident working independently in community settings
  • Ability to travel between sites across North Yorkshire
