Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Hourly Rate: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
Working Hours:
- Monday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am to 2:00pm
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a community-based Adult Speech and Language Therapy team in Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist with experience in both dysphagia and communication disorders to provide specialist assessment and intervention within a community setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting adults with a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments and interventions for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Undertake dysphagia assessments and develop appropriate management plans.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide education, advice, and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Dysphagia trained with experience assessing and managing swallowing disorders.
- Experience working within adult community Speech and Language Therapy services.
- Strong clinical knowledge of communication disorders and their management.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
