About the Role

Are you passionate about working with children with complex needs? We are looking for an experienced, dysphagia qualified Speech and Language Therapist to manage a caseload of 0-5 year olds with complex eating, drinking, swallowing and communication needs. You will be supported by the Clinical Lead for Dysphagia and the School Age Complex Needs Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Work across South Gloucestershire and Bristol supporting pre-school children with complex needs and their families in the community.
  • The majority of the clinical work is dysphagia but there will also be some communication work, usually involving augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
  • You will see children for uni-professional appointments and as part of our multi-disciplinary child centred assessments.
  • Offer highly specialist clinical expertise within complex needs and dysphagia and carry your own highly specialist caseload.
  • Triage new referrals to the team alongside other band 7 practitioners, according to agreed referral criteria.
  • Be responsible for line managing junior colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
