What Does This Entail
This internship is designed for someone interested in public relations, communications, media outreach, brand storytelling and startup growth.
You’ll gain practical experience helping Speed NetworkNow communicate its story to journalists, publications, creators, partners and wider business communities.
This is not just about writing press releases. You’ll learn how PR works across storytelling, research, outreach, relationship-building, thought leadership, events and digital communications.
You’ll have the chance to:
- Research journalists, publications, podcasts, newsletters and media opportunities relevant to entrepreneurship, startups, business and networking
- Help identify newsworthy stories, angles and PR opportunities around Speed NetworkNow
- Draft press releases, media pitches, founder profiles and outreach messages
- Build and maintain targeted media and contact lists
- Support outreach to journalists, podcast hosts, creators, event organisers and potential partners
- Help secure opportunities for interviews, features, podcasts, collaborations and event coverage
- Support founder thought leadership and personal branding
- Research industry trends and current conversations to identify timely PR opportunities
- Assist with communications around events, launches, partnerships and company milestones
- Track outreach, responses, coverage and PR activity
- Support brand reputation and consistent messaging across communications
You’ll receive guidance and feedback while gradually taking greater ownership of outreach and communications projects.
Your Main Focus
- Find relevant journalists, media outlets, podcasts and creators
- Identify strong stories and angles that could attract attention
- Write clear, concise and personalised outreach
- Help position Speed NetworkNow and its founders as credible voices in entrepreneurship, networking and business growth
- Build relationships rather than sending generic mass pitches
- Track outreach and follow up professionally
- Support PR campaigns around events, partnerships, announcements and thought leadership

You do not need previous professional PR experience. What matters most is that you are curious, confident in written communication, willing to research, comfortable reaching out to people and open to learning through feedback.

You may also be introduced to additional PR, media-monitoring and outreach tools depending on projects.
How You’ll Use AI
You’ll learn how AI can support modern PR and communications by helping to:
- Research journalists, publications and relevant media opportunities
- Identify potential story angles
- Draft and refine press releases and media pitches
- Personalise outreach more efficiently
- Summarise industry news and trends
- Repurpose founder insights into thought-leadership content
- Organise research and communications workflows
AI should support good judgement, not replace it. You’ll also learn where human relationship-building, creativity and context remain essential.

Time Commitment & Expectations
This internship is designed to be flexible, practical and immersive.
You’ll contribute to live communications and PR projects directly connected to Speed NetworkNow’s growth.
- Duration: 6 months
- Commitment: Approx. 15–20 hours per week
- Format: Remote, with optional in-person collaboration in London
- Schedule: Flexible hours, with one core weekly team meeting and agreed deliverables
