Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud
  • Splunk certification at Architect or Consultant level
  • Extensive experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
  • Strong expertise in data onboarding, parsing, indexing, and transformation
  • Good understanding of Linux infrastructure and administration
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments through:
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Change Management
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Splunk Platform (Cloud / ITSI) to meet business and operational requirements
  • Provide L2/L3 production support, including incident, problem, and change management activities
  • Optimise platform performance, search efficiency, and data ingestion pipelines
  • Support Splunk upgrades, migrations, integrations, and onboarding initiatives
  • Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Application teams to improve monitoring and observability capabilities
  • Assess and optimise dashboards, reports, alerts, and use cases using SPL
  • Drive automation and simplification of operational processes
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to platform reliability, resilience, performance improvements, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions supporting critical business services
  • Participate in an on-call / 24x7 support rota where required

Mandatory Requirements

  • Splunk Architect or Consultant certification
  • Strong Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud experience
  • Linux administration experience
  • Enterprise production support background
  • Experience with observability and monitoring solutions
