Sponsorship, Partnerships and Hospitality Sales Executive

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club is looking to recruit an ambitious, commercially driven and relationship-focused Sponsorship, Partnerships and Hospitality Sales Executive to join the club.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in sales, business development, sponsorship or commercial partnerships to play a key role in driving commercial revenue and developing relationships with businesses across Dunfermline, Fife and beyond.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad range of commercial activities across the club, including sponsorship sales and activation, stadium advertising, corporate hospitality, matchday sponsorship, player and kit sponsorships, business networking and non-football events.

The role will combine new business development with account management, requiring someone who is confident building relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities and ensuring existing partners receive excellent value from their association with Dunfermline Athletic.

Key Responsibilities

Sponsorship & Business Development

  • Proactively identify, approach and develop relationships with new businesses and prospective commercial partners.
  • Generate new sponsorship and advertising revenue for the club through effective sales activity and relationship building.
  • Develop sponsorship opportunities and commercial packages that meet both the needs of the club and prospective partners.
  • Manage relationships with the club’s existing sponsors and commercial partners, acting as a key point of contact throughout their partnership.
  • Ensure all agreed sponsorship rights, benefits and activations are delivered in accordance with commercial agreements.
  • Identify opportunities to grow and renew existing partnerships.

Stadium Advertising

  • Manage the club’s stadium advertising inventory, including pitch side advertising boards, external gable-end advertising and other available commercial assets.
  • Sell available advertising opportunities to local, regional and national businesses.
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of advertising assets alongside relevant suppliers and internal departments.
  • Ensure sponsor branding is presented professionally and accurately throughout the stadium.

Hospitality & Matchday Sponsorship

  • Oversee the sales and delivery of the club’s matchday hospitality offering.
  • Drive bookings for match-by-match hospitality as well as seasonal hospitality and membership packages.
  • Manage and sell matchday sponsorship opportunities, including:
    • Match Sponsorship
    • Match Ball Sponsorship
    • Captain’s Sponsorship
  • Work closely with the club’s catering partner, Thomas Franks, to coordinate hospitality packages, menus and event delivery.
  • Help ensure sponsors and hospitality guests receive a high-quality matchday experience.

Kit & Player Sponsorship

  • Manage commercial relationships with the club’s first-team and academy kit sponsors on a seasonal basis.
  • Coordinate the delivery of agreed kit sponsorship rights and associated activations.
  • Manage and deliver the club’s player sponsorship programme.
  • Maintain strong communication with player sponsors throughout the season.
  • Coordinate the end-of-season player sponsorship event and associated sponsor benefits.

Events & Business Networking

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the club to develop and deliver non-football events at KDM Group East End Park.
  • Identify opportunities to generate additional commercial revenue from the stadium and club facilities outside matchdays.
  • Lead the continued development and relaunch of the 1885 Business Club.
  • Develop a structured programme of networking events, business events and guest speakers throughout the year.
  • Use the Business Club to strengthen the club’s relationship with the local business community and create new commercial opportunities.

Community & Matchday Activity

  • Oversee charitable and supporters’ group bucket collections throughout the season.
  • Work with relevant internal departments to coordinate commercial and community-focused matchday activities.
  • Support wider club events, activations and initiatives where required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of the club’s commercial opportunities.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in sales, business development, sponsorship, partnerships or a similar commercial role.
  • A proven ability to develop new business and build strong professional relationships.
  • Confidence in approaching prospective clients through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and face-to-face meetings.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue from both new and existing partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple commercial projects, partners and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A proactive and creative approach to commercial sales.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across different departments and with external suppliers.
  • Flexibility to work matchdays and selected evenings/weekends when required.

Experience within football, sport, events or hospitality would be advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable commercial and business development experience are encouraged to apply.

You will be expected to take ownership of your commercial pipeline, actively seek new opportunities and develop creative ways for businesses to engage with Dunfermline Athletic.

Just as importantly, you will play a key role in looking after the club’s existing commercial partners, ensuring partnerships are delivered professionally and relationships continue to develop season after season.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the commercial growth of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club.
