About ATHX
ATHX Games is a multi-country competitive fitness event series, bringing athletes, fans and brands together at live events across Europe, North America, Asia and beyond. We create high-energy competition experiences that test every kind of athlete, and we’re growing fast into new cities and new markets.
Joining ATHX means working in a small, ambitious team where your ideas get heard, your work shows up on the event floor, and you help shape a global fitness brand as it scales.
The Role
As Sponsorship Sales Executive, you’ll source, negotiate and grow the brand, vendor and regional partnerships that power ATHX Games around the world. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll build a strong new-business pipeline, turn conversations into signed agreements, and make sure every vendor and partner gets real value from being part of ATHX.
This is a hands-on, mid-level role for someone who loves the deal – from first outreach to contract to seeing a partner come to life at an event – and who wants to grow with a global sports property.
The role carries an annual new-business target of £500,000 (cash and value-in-kind) across all global events in all markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Source new sponsorships: Identify, research and approach global, regional and local brands across fitness, sports nutrition, accessories, health, technology and lifestyle, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities. Check every prospect against existing partner category exclusivities (e.g. Adidas in apparel and footwear) before approach.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements: Lead negotiations on rights packages, fees, deliverables, exclusivity and term within parameters agreed with the Chief Commercial Officer, and work with ATHX’s legal advisers to take deals through to signed contract.
- Source and negotiate vendor sponsorships: Secure supply, value-in-kind and official supplier partners (e.g. equipment, nutrition, hydration, recovery, technology and hospitality) across our event markets, balancing cost, quality and commercial value.
- Build compelling proposals: Create tailored, on-brand pitch decks and rights packages that bring together event assets, audience insight, digital inventory and on-site activation opportunities.
- Manage partner relationships: Act as day-to-day contact for assigned partners and event-specific vendors, onboarding, tracking contracted deliverables, and driving renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Coordinate activation across events: Work closely with Event Delivery, Partnerships, Operations, Brand and Marketing to make sure partner branding, sampling, hospitality and activations are delivered on site in every market.
- Partner compliance: Make sure partner and vendor activations meet ATHX health & safety requirements (risk assessments and method statements, public liability insurance, food hygiene for sampling), and that partner marketing claims follow UK advertising rules (CAP Code).
- Track and report performance: Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and revenue forecast and produce post-event partner recaps that show value and return on investment.
- Contracts and invoicing: Work with Finance to raise invoices, track payments and record value-in-kind against contracted terms.
- Support commercial growth: Share market intelligence on sponsorship trends, competitor properties and potential partners as ATHX expands into new territories.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
