What we’re looking for
The Argus Media conferences division work closely with our price reporting team to put together state-of-the-art, knowledge-sharing B2B conferences focused on the commodities markets.
These physical and hybrid conferences are focused on the following specialty areas: crude oil, generation fuels, LPG, oil products, chemicals, fertilizers, and metals. With a global portfolio of 30 conferences and digital products, Argus conferences bring together communities in their respective sectors to network, consume insight, and consolidate business relationships.
Job Purpose
We are currently looking for a B2B conference sales professional to increase revenue across the conference portfolio. The business has identified a great amount of potential in revenue through shared relationships across the business, and this is a great opportunity for someone with the right experience to really optimize this.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop and grow their career in Sponsorship sales. As a key member of the conference team, you will develop client relationships, identifying the most appropriate prospects and contacting them to sell sponsorship and exhibition opportunities. You will look to sell packages across multiple events as well as one-off opportunities, overseeing sponsorship sales for approximately five conferences a year.
The key to success in this role is developing an understanding of the energy sectors to tailor your approach to meet the needs of customers and build strong relationships. International travel will be needed, to include sales development trips and managing the sponsor/exhibitor experience at the event.
We are committed to continuing our exceptional growth and need ambitious and innovative sales professionals to help drive our business forward.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
