The Sponsorship Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for driving sponsorship revenue across IQPC’s conferences and events. The role involves:

  • Identifying and qualifying potential sponsors
  • Conducting outbound outreach
  • Leading consultative sales conversations to match client objectives with event opportunities

The Sponsorship Sales Manager will:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects
  • Prepare proposals
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors to encourage renewals and upsells

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Close collaboration with production and marketing teams to align event content with sponsor needs
  • Accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activity
  • Active participation in events to strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Proven Sponsorship Sales experience, with a track record of securing and growing event or media sponsorships.
  • Strong New Business Development and Lead Generation skills to identify, research, and engage prospective sponsors.
  • Demonstrated Sales capability, including consultative selling, pipeline management, and closing complex deals.
  • Effective Account Management skills to nurture long-term relationships, manage expectations, and drive renewals and expansion.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with confident presentation skills to senior decision-makers.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of B2B events, media, or professional services environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven setting, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfort using CRM systems and sales productivity tools to manage accounts and report on performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
