Sponsorship Sales Manager – Defence & Automotive

London | £35,000–£55,000 + Uncapped OTE

We’re currently working with a global B2B events and media organisation that is looking to add an ambitious Sponsorship Sales Manager to their growing commercial team.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity as the successful candidate will work across two specialist divisions – Defence and Automotive, selling sponsorship and commercial opportunities across an international portfolio of conferences, events, media and digital products. The business works with senior decision-makers and leading organisations globally, giving you the opportunity to build relationships across two fascinating and constantly evolving industries.

The Role

As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue across both the Defence and Automotive portfolios, with a strong focus on both account development and new business. You’ll be:

  • Selling sponsorship opportunities across a portfolio of international conferences and events
  • Managing and developing relationships with existing clients
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Understanding clients' objectives and developing creative, commercially valuable sponsorship solutions
  • Managing your own sales pipeline and revenue forecasts
  • Researching target markets, competitors and potential clients
  • Working closely with internal Marketing, Operations and Production teams
  • Developing a strong understanding of both the Defence and Automotive sectors

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
