Help plan inclusive sport and 3v3 football activities remotely for now. Later, run approved on-site School Edition sessions in Portsmouth for young people aged 8–16. School partnerships and delivery dates are still being developed.
What difference will you make?
Inclusive sport can help young people participate, build confidence and teamwork, and feel welcome across ability levels. Activities form part of a planned School Edition programme and will only begin after school, safeguarding, insurance and operational readiness is confirmed.
What are we looking for?
Essential at least three years of professional experience facilitating sport or physical activity for children or young people, gained in paid or voluntary work; enthusiastic and responsible; comfortable engaging young people; understands safe, inclusive participation; explains activities clearly; reliable and team-focused. Desirable sports coaching, PE, youth work or community sport; football or 3v3 knowledge; coaching qualification; first-aid or safeguarding training.

What will you be doing?
- Run or support approved sport and physical-activity stations under the School Edition plan and Youth Engagement Lead.
- Support the FIFA Street-style 3v3 football format, team organisation and substitutions; explain rules clearly, encourage fair play and adapt activities to different confidence and ability levels.
- Check activity areas and equipment, raise safety concerns, coordinate session flow with the Youth Engagement Lead and school staff, report welfare or safeguarding concerns immediately, assist setup and close-down, and record agreed feedback or incidents.

You may lead approved activity stations but cannot change school arrangements, introduce unapproved high-risk activities, use inappropriate physical contact, make external commitments or ignore school and S.W.U.G. safeguarding instructions.
Essential at least three years of professional experience facilitating sport or physical activity for children or young people, gained in paid or voluntary work. This direct child-facing role requires safer recruitment, references, safeguarding induction and the DBS check legally appropriate to final duties and frequency before relevant activity. No school partnership, venue or delivery date is yet confirmed.
