Sport Course Leader (Tutor)
Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £30,642 - £36,590
Location: Town Centre Campus, Burton on Trent
Who are we looking for?
Burton and South Derbyshire College are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Sport department. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a forward-thinking, learner-centred department. Key focuses involve industry connections, personal development, improving behaviour and attitudes while achieving impressive outcomes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to innovative learning, teaching, and assessment. Ideally, be actively engaged within the Sport and Exercise industry and willing to introduce and develop relationships with local, regional, and national employers. To be successful, it would be essential to hold a good honours degree relevant to the post.
The College is looking for an individual who is committed to helping learners stretch and challenge themselves and develop the skills necessary for progressing onto their next career step. The position would involve Course Leadership responsibility, monitoring individual, qualification, and course performance, with identification and implementation of appropriate support.
The successful candidate will teach across a range of Sport programmes which could range from Level 1 to Level 6 BA (Hons). This will be aligned to occupational skillset in order to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessments to our learners. In this role, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for Sport and Exercise and possesses the aspiration to shape the future of young people.

Qualifications
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
