Sports Centre Assistant

Cambridge

Part Time | 12 Hours per Week | Tuesday & Friday, 4:00pm – 10:30pm

Salary: £24,577 – £25,192 pro rata, plus staff benefits

Are you passionate about sport, fitness, and helping others thrive in an active environment? A well-established college is seeking a friendly and motivated Sports Centre Assistant to join its team on a part-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy sports environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

As a Sports Centre Assistant, you will be the welcoming face of the facility during opening hours and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the Sports Centre.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering fitness classes and gym inductions
  • Assisting with equipment setup, maintenance, and storage
  • Upholding health and safety standards at all times
  • Ensuring all equipment and facilities are clean, tidy, and well maintained
  • Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and members of the public

Working Hours

  • 12 hours per week
  • Tuesday and Friday, 4:00pm – 10:30pm

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification is essential
  • Ability to deliver high-energy fitness classes
  • First Aid at Work qualification is desirable
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and professional attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of service
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
