📍 South London | On-site | Evenings & Weekends | Start ASAP

Approximately 30 hours per week
Interviews taking place this week: Thursday 3 & Friday 4 September
Support the day-to-day operations, membership administration and programme delivery of London Giants Volleyball Club during an undergraduate placement.

The Role

We are recruiting for 2 placement streams:

Placement Role 1. Weekday Operations, Membership & Communications

  • Core availability: Weekday evenings, typically 4:00–10:30pm, plus selected weekend matches/events where applicable.

Placement Role 2. Weekend Operations, Membership & Administration

  • Core availability: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus additional administration hours as required. Early morning availability on weekends is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support membership registrations, records, attendance lists and payment follow-ups
  • Respond to basic member, parent and participant enquiries
  • Assist with reception and participant arrivals
  • Support coaches and staff with training-session operations
  • Help with equipment, venue set-up and set-down
  • Support match days, events and weekend programmes
  • Complete administrative tasks during quieter venue periods
  • For the weekday placement, assist with social media preparation, photos/videos and simple interview or podcast-style content

About You

We are looking for:

  • An undergraduate student completing a recognised university placement
  • Students from relevant degree areas including Sports Management, Business, Business Administration, Project Management, Event Management, Marketing & Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Business Information Systems, Sport & Exercise or similar courses
  • A reliable, organised and adaptable person with meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities
  • Someone who learns quickly, takes initiative and is comfortable becoming increasingly independent
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work evenings, weekends and early mornings where required

Work rights: Applicants must already have the right to undertake the placement in the UK. This may include UK citizens, permanent residents and eligible UK Student visa holders where the placement is permitted as part of their course. We cannot provide visa sponsorship.
