Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £90-£120 per day
Flexible Sports Coach & School Support Roles - Salford
We are currently working with a range of secondary schools across Salford who are seeking enthusiastic and confident Sports Coaches / Teaching Assistants to support on a day-to-day and short-term supply basis.
These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, are passionate about sport, and are looking to gain valuable experience supporting young people in both classroom and PE environments.
The Role
As a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant, you will play an active role in supporting learning, behaviour, and engagement across school settings. You will assist in PE lessons, lead sports activities, and may also provide general classroom supervision when required.

Your Responsibilities May Include
- Supporting or leading PE lessons for KS3 and KS4 students
- Delivering engaging sports sessions and extracurricular activities
- Covering classes as a Cover Supervisor where needed
- Promoting positive behaviour and participation in lessons
- Delivering a range of sports, including football, rugby, basketball, athletics, and more
- Building positive relationships with students and encouraging teamwork, discipline, and wellbeing
About You
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Are
- Experienced working with young people aged 11-16 in the UK
- Qualified in Sport, Physical Education, or hold relevant coaching qualifications
- Confident leading groups and managing behaviour effectively
- Flexible, reliable, and open to working across different school settings
- Enthusiastic about sport and committed to engaging young people positively
