Role Description
The Sports Coach (Football) will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate football coaching sessions in primary schools within the Manchester Area, United Kingdom.

The Coach will also lead on our Saturday Soccer School.

This on-site role involves teaching curriculum PE and specialised football training, managing groups of pupils, and promoting inclusive participation, safe play, and positive behaviour. The coach will liaise with school staff, support breakfast/lunch/after-school clubs, and contribute to wider school sports activities and events. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing pupil progress
- Adapting sessions to different abilities
- Maintaining equipment
- Upholding safeguarding and health and safety standards
The role also offers opportunities to support teacher mentoring, CPD initiatives, and Edstart programmes that encourage long-term participation in sport.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Education, with the ability to deliver structured PE and football sessions aligned to school curriculum goals.
- Demonstrated Coaching and Sports Coaching skills, including planning drills, managing groups, and motivating children of varied abilities.
- Experience in Sports Training, with knowledge of age-appropriate technical and tactical football development.
- Excellent Communication skills to engage pupils, collaborate with school staff, and build trust with parents and guardians.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., FA coaching badges or equivalent) and up-to-date safeguarding and first aid training.
- Experience working with children in school or community sports settings and a commitment to inclusive, child-centered coaching.
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple schools or clubs and maintain accurate session and attendance records.
- Clear background checks suitable for working with children, and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
