Compensation: £34,789 - £38,654 / year

Description

1 Year Fixed Term, Full-time Monday-Friday plus Saturday AM or PM fixtures
From January 2027

King Edward’s School, Bath is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Netball to lead and develop our thriving Netball programme across the Senior and Junior School. The successful candidate will inspire pupils of all ages and abilities, lead a team of coaches, oversee fixtures and events, and contribute to the wider Sports Department through the teaching and coaching of PE, Games and other sports as required.

Interviews to take place on 4th & 5th November 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the School’s Netball programme across the Senior and Junior School.
  • Inspire, coach and support pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Manage and support a team of Netball coaches.
  • Organise fixtures, tournaments, training sessions and Netball events.
  • Promote high standards of participation, performance, safety and enjoyment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, colleagues and external partners.
  • Contribute to the wider Sports Department, including PE, Games and other sports as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong Netball coaching expertise, with the ability to inspire pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and support coaches and pupils.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with experience of planning fixtures, training and events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of safe coaching practices, safeguarding requirements and relevant risk assessments.
  • Confident use of IT and technology to support coaching, communication and administration.
  • A proactive, positive and team-focused approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
