đˇ Salary: ÂŁ25,396.80 per year
đ Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

The Role:
As our Sports Coach, youâll plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate physical activities, games and movement sessions for children across the nursery.
Youâll have the opportunity to:
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of fun physical activities and movement sessions.
- Create safe and stimulating opportunities for active play both indoors and outdoors.
- Encourage teamwork, positive behaviour, confidence and participation through inclusive coaching.
- Adapt activities to meet the individual abilities, interests and needs of every child.
- Observe childrenâs physical development and share relevant observations with room leaders and parents.
- Work closely with nursery practitioners to incorporate physical activity into childrenâs daily routines and learning.
- Introduce creative new ideas to make movement and sport exciting for young children.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

What Weâre Looking For:
Weâre looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and a genuine passion for helping young children develop.
Essential
- Experience working with children in an early years or sports setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
- Ability to adapt activities to suit different abilities and needs.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or willingness to complete required training.
- Relevant paediatric first aid qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.

Desirable
- Sports coaching qualification, such as Level 1 or Level 2.
- Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
- Previous experience delivering physical activity programmes to young children.
