Job Description

Our after-school program is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for students.

Working on Active Care you will provide the very best childcare for children in one of our afterschool club school settings.

This role is perfect for Teaching Assistants (TAs), sports coaches, or nursery practitioners who thrive on variety in their day and have a passion for creating fun and engaging experiences for children.

The Company

The Position

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Sports Coach to deliver the sports club activities at our Active Care afterschool club and assist with the Active Care sessions after the club, delivering a range of play-based and sports activities for children in our childcare provision.

This role requires an individual who is confident, knowledgeable, and versatile with the ability to engage young people and you will ideally have experience of working with Primary School children aged 4-11 years.

You will be friendly and approachable and will be able to work creatively to develop a stimulating and exciting environment.

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 5:15pm
  • Term-time Only

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the day to day running of the provision
  • Providing an excellent Customer experience and Customer liaison
  • The safeguarding of all children
  • Building links with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of all children
  • Promoting the provision within the provision location
  • Providing a light tea for the Active Care participants
  • Providing holiday cover

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Holds a Level 2 coaching badge (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and passion for a variety of sports (Desirable)
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene (Training can be provided)
  • Paediatric first aid (Training can be provided)
