The PE Specialists work closely with primary schools to provide curriculum PE, reliable PPA cover, and extracurricular clubs that meet national standards while inspiring a lifelong love of physical activity. Beyond the school day, they offer flexible holiday camps and wraparound care that provide a safe, active environment for children to learn, play, and build confidence. Their mission is to create positive, active experiences that help every child thrive in school, in sport, and in life.
Role Description
This full-time, on-site Sports Coach role is based in Harlow and focuses on delivering high-quality physical education and sports sessions in primary school settings. The Sports Coach will plan and lead engaging PE lessons, school sport activities, and extracurricular clubs that support fundamental movement skills, teamwork, and overall wellbeing.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing age-appropriate lesson plans
- Setting up and managing equipment
- Supervising pupils to ensure safety
- Adapting activities to meet a range of abilities and needs

The Sports Coach will also support holiday camps and wraparound care, helping to create fun, inclusive environments outside of regular school hours. Collaboration with school staff, providing feedback on pupil progress, and contributing to the continuous improvement of PE provision are key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Physical Education and Sports Coaching, with the ability to deliver structured, inclusive sessions.
- Experience in Coaching and Sports Training, including planning progressive activities and supporting skill development.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to engage children, collaborate with school staff, and build positive relationships with families.
- Relevant qualification in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field (e.g., Level 2/3 coaching certificate, PE or sports degree) is preferred.
- Experience working with primary-aged children in school or community sport settings, with a focus on safeguarding and child wellbeing.
- Ability to manage groups safely, organize equipment and spaces, and adapt sessions for different abilities and needs.
- Current or willingness to obtain enhanced DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work across the school day and during holiday periods as required.
