Are you passionate about sports and golf events, with a natural talent for sales and building strong customer relationships? We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially focused Sports & Golf Event Sales Executive to join our team, based at Delta Hotels Worsley Park in Manchester.
You will manage enquiries for corporate golf days, golf breaks and sports team bookings, including football, rugby and cricket, across multiple UK Marriott hotels. You will play a key role in converting enquiries into confirmed business while delivering a seamless experience for our clients.

Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to sports and golf enquiries across the hotel portfolio.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximising revenue through upselling and negotiation.
- Build strong relationships with sports teams, clubs, event organisers, intermediaries and golf tour operators.
- Prepare proposals, contracts and event orders accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate booking and customer information within the CRM system.
- Ensure bedroom, catering and other event requirements are clearly communicated to the relevant hotel teams.
- Work closely with Sales and Events teams to ensure a smooth handover and excellent customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and additional services.
- Manage customer queries professionally and follow up after events where appropriate.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience in hospitality, sales, events or a related field.
- A genuine passion for sales and achieving targets.
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate and upsell.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of golf and sports is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with Opera or another Sales & Catering system would be an advantage.
