Lions Sports Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and caring Sports Graduate to join our growing team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about sport, enjoys working with children and wants to build a career in coaching, physical education or the wider sports industry.
You’ll become an important part of one of our partner schools, supporting its day-to-day sports programme and helping pupils develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
The Role
As a Sports Graduate with Lions Sports Academy, you’ll work full time within a high-quality school environment, supporting the delivery of PE lessons, coaching sessions, fixtures and wider sporting activities.
You’ll work with pupils of different ages and abilities, helping to create an inclusive environment where every child feels supported, challenged and excited to take part.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and delivering engaging PE lessons and coaching sessions
- Coaching a range of sports across the school’s programme
- Assisting with team training, fixtures, tournaments and sports events
- Helping pupils develop their skills, confidence, teamwork and resilience
- Supporting teachers and coaches with session planning and preparation
- Managing groups safely, positively and professionally
- Assisting with equipment, registers and general sports administration
- Contributing to extracurricular clubs and wider school life
- Acting as a positive role model for pupils at all times
- Communicating professionally with school staff, parents, Lions Sports Academy and fellow coaches

About You
We’re looking for someone who is energetic, dependable and passionate about making a positive difference through sport.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Sport, Physical Education, Coaching or a related subject
- A strong playing or coaching background in one or more sports
- Experience working with children or young people
- A confident, engaging and adaptable coaching style
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A professional, proactive and reliable approach
- A genuine interest in developing a career in sport or education
Coaching qualifications, first-aid training and previous experience within a school environment would be advantageous but are not essential.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who understands that great coaching is about more than sporting performance. It’s about building confidence, creating positive experiences and helping young people develop both on and off the pitch.
