Sports Massage Therapist – Job Specification
We are looking for an experienced Sports Massage Therapist to join Lambert Sports Clinic two days a week, with scope to grow as the client list builds.

About us
Lambert Sports Clinic is a CQC-registered clinic in Tolworth, Surbiton, also trading as Lambert Medical Practice. We provide general practice, physiotherapy, sports medicine, dermatology, gynaecology and sports massage under one roof, open Monday to Saturday.
We have more than 4,000 registered patients, from children to over-65s, including a large Portuguese- and Brazilian-speaking community in South West London. Our team works closely together, so you will refer to and from our GPs and physiotherapists as part of each patient's care.
The role
You will assess and treat patients with sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain and recovery needs, from recreational exercisers to competitive athletes.

- Carry out subjective and objective assessments and agree treatment plans with each patient
- Deliver sports and remedial massage, soft tissue release, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and stretching
- Prescribe home exercise and self-care advice to support recovery and prevent recurrence
- Offer acupuncture or dry needling where qualified and clinically appropriate
- Keep accurate, timely clinical notes in Cliniko, including consent and outcome measures
- Work alongside our physiotherapists and GPs, referring on when you spot red flags or the patient needs a different service
- Treat insured patients and complete insurer reports when required
- Help grow your own client list through rebooking, patient education and clinic events
- Follow clinic policies on infection control, safeguarding, data protection and CQC standards
Essential requirements
- Ideally 3–4 years' experience as a sports massage therapist in a clinical or sports setting
- BASRaT registration preferred; we will also consider a Level 4 or Level 5 Sports Massage qualification with membership of a recognised professional body
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, injury assessment and red flags
- Confident communicator who can explain treatment and exercise advice clearly
- Organised and reliable, with good clinical note-keeping
- Existing right to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship
- An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable
- A recognised qualification in acupuncture or dry needling, with insurance that covers it
- Experience with sports teams, events or athletes
- Experience treating insured patients and writing insurer reports
- Additional skills such as kinesiology taping, cupping or instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques
- Portuguese or another community language
