Sports Partnerships & Rights Manager
The Role
We are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded, and sports passionate individual to join our team as a Sports Partnerships & Rights Manager.
This is a varied role combining client and partner management, commercial research, administration, relationship building, and sports rights acquisition.
The successful candidate will help us identify, secure, and manage commercially attractive opportunities across the sporting landscape, building a portfolio of rights and partnerships that we can offer to both our existing clients and new brands.
You do not need to arrive with an encyclopaedic knowledge of sports rights or an extensive network of rights holders. More important to us is someone who is excellent with people, highly organised, commercially curious, and genuinely passionate about sport, with the confidence to build relationships and develop their knowledge of the sports sponsorship market.
Our longer-term ambition is to strengthen our position as a global sports marketing agency and consultative partner, giving brands access to relevant and exciting opportunities across different sports, territories, and price points.
What You'll Be Doing
Rights & Opportunity Management
- Support the identification of new sponsorship, partnership, and commercial rights opportunities across sport.
- Research potential opportunities across tournaments, teams, athletes, events, leagues, and other sporting properties.
- Reach out to rights holders, agents, and commercial partners to understand available inventory, pricing, and partnership opportunities.
- Help assess whether opportunities represent good value for our clients and whether there is a realistic market for them.
- Support negotiations around pricing, rights, deliverables, and commercial terms.
- Maintain an organised database of available rights, costs, contacts, timelines, and relevant commercial information.
- Manage the administrative process surrounding acquired rights and client partnerships, ensuring agreements, deliverables, deadlines, and relevant documentation are properly tracked.
- Build an increasingly strong understanding of sports rights pricing and what represents good value within different areas of the market.
Partner & Client Management
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with rights holders, agents, athletes, tournaments, teams, and other commercial partners.
- Act as a reliable day-to-day contact for partners, ensuring communication is clear, professional, and well organised.
- Work closely with our internal client management and sales teams to understand what existing clients are looking for and identify opportunities that could be relevant to them.
- Help respond to client briefs by researching potential sports properties and partnership opportunities.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and recommendations for clients and prospects.
- Where appropriate, attend client and partner meetings and contribute to conversations around potential opportunities.
- Ensure relationships continue beyond individual transactions, helping us develop a strong and trusted network across the sports industry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Commercial Research & Product Development
- Research the sports sponsorship landscape to identify interesting properties, emerging opportunities, and potential gaps in our existing offering.
- Help us understand what different rights cost across sports, markets, and levels of competition.
- Compare opportunities to determine where we believe there is particularly strong value for money.
- Work with the wider team to turn individual rights into simple, compelling commercial products that can be presented to brands.
- Think about opportunities from a client's perspective: Who would buy this? Why would they buy it? What objective could it help them achieve? And is the price commercially attractive?
- Help develop an inventory that spans different sports, territories, and price points, allowing us to provide solutions for a wide variety of client briefs and budgets.
Administration & Organisation
- Take ownership of the day-to-day organisation of our sports rights and partnership inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of rights holders, contacts, costs, available assets, contract periods, renewal dates, and sales status.
- Track conversations and follow-ups with prospective rights holders and partners.
- Coordinate internal information so that the sales and client teams always have an accurate understanding of what inventory is available.
- Support contracts, invoicing, reporting, and other administrative requirements associated with rights and partnerships.
- Help create processes that allow us to manage an increasingly large portfolio of opportunities efficiently as the business grows.
What We're Looking For
The most important qualities for this role are organisation, communication, commercial curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm for sport.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, is comfortable speaking to both clients and commercial partners, and takes pride in being highly organised.
You do not need to be an established sports rights specialist. We would, however, expect you to be interested in developing a strong understanding of the commercial sports industry and learning how different sponsorship assets are valued.

You will ideally have:
- Strong client management or account management experience
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good commercial instincts and confidence working with budgets and pricing
- The ability to manage multiple conversations, opportunities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders, clients, and external partners
- Strong research skills and an ability to turn information into clear recommendations
- An interest in sales and understanding what makes a product commercially attractive
- A proactive approach to building new relationships
- A genuine passion for sport
Experience within sports marketing, sponsorship, partnerships, events, talent management, or a related industry will be beneficial.
Existing contacts within the sports industry would also be advantageous, but we are equally interested in someone with the personality and confidence to build that network over time.
An interest in sports such as tennis, golf, football, cricket, and Formula 1 would be particularly valuable, but curiosity about the wider sporting landscape is just as important.
What Success Looks Like
Initially, success will mean bringing structure, organisation, and consistency to how we identify, assess, and manage sports rights opportunities.
You will develop strong relationships with rights holders and partners, build a clear understanding of our clients and what they are looking for, and become increasingly confident in identifying opportunities that represent genuine commercial value.
As you develop within the role, we would expect you to take greater ownership of sourcing and negotiating opportunities and help us build a diverse portfolio of rights across different sports, territories, and investment levels.
Ultimately, this role will help us strengthen both our commercial proposition and our inventory, giving our sales team more opportunities to take to market and allowing us to provide existing and prospective clients with increasingly creative, relevant, and cost-effective ways to invest in sport.
The ambition is for brands to be able to come to us with almost any sporting brief, audience, territory, or budget and for us to have the relationships, knowledge, and inventory required to find the right solution.
