Senior Sports Performance Specialist – UK Sports
We are seeking a Senior Sports Performance Specialist – UK Sports to take ownership of the performance and development of Sportradar’s UK Sports portfolio, with a primary focus on Rugby Union and Rugby League, alongside Darts and Snooker.
The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert across these sports, overseeing performance across both Pre-Match and Live Odds products. Working closely with Trading, Managed Trading Services (MTS), Operational Account Managers (OAM), Model owners, Product and QA teams, the role will focus on improving pricing performance, customer outcomes, trading efficiency and overall product quality.
The role will represent Sportradar in discussions with Tier 1 clients, providing performance reviews, gathering feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring that client requirements are translated into meaningful enhancements across our products and services.
The Challenge
- Take ownership of the overall performance of Rugby Union, Rugby League, Darts and Snooker across Sportradar’s trading services.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for Rugby, driving continuous improvement across both Rugby Union and Rugby League products.
- Own performance across both Pre-Match and Live Odds products within the UK Sports portfolio.
- Monitor, analyse and report on key trading, operational and customer performance metrics across Pre-Match and Live Odds.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into sport performance, market quality, pricing efficiency, customer outcomes and trading effectiveness.
- Analyse customer and trading performance data to identify opportunities to improve odds quality, profitability, turnover, margin and customer engagement.
- Lead regular performance review meetings with Tier 1 clients, presenting insights, discussing trends and gathering feedback.
- Build strong relationships with key sportsbook stakeholders and become the primary point of contact for UK Sports performance topics.
- Translate client feedback into clear recommendations, prioritised actions and measurable performance improvement initiatives.
- Liaise closely with Managed Trading Services (MTS) teams to understand client priorities, recurring challenges and service expectations.
- Work closely with Operational Account Managers (OAM) to ensure client requirements, feedback and performance concerns are understood and acted upon.
- Partner with Quantitative Analytics (QA) teams to investigate model performance, market behaviour, customer profitability and pricing effectiveness.
- Work alongside Product and Technology teams to identify, prioritise and deliver improvements across both Pre-Match and Live Odds products.
- Define, prioritise and track sport-specific enhancement initiatives across Rugby Union, Rugby League, Darts and Snooker.
- Present findings, recommendations and progress updates to senior stakeholders, clients and internal leadership teams.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation relating to sport reviews, client feedback, deep-dive analysis and improvement initiatives.
- Promote best practice and increase sport-specific expertise across Trading and wider business functions.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the sportsbook, trading or sports data industry.
- Expert knowledge of Rugby Union and Rugby League, including competitions, market structures, trading models and customer betting behaviour.
- Strong knowledge of Darts and Snooker markets, products and customer behaviour.
- Strong understanding of both Pre-Match and Live Odds trading methodologies.
- Proven experience analysing sportsbook performance across turnover, GGR, margin, customer engagement and odds quality metrics.
- Strong understanding of odds compilation, pricing efficiency, risk management and sportsbook operations.
- Experience working with quantitative models, performance reporting, BI tools and large datasets.
- Ability to translate detailed analysis and client feedback into practical, measurable improvement recommendations.
- Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to senior internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across Trading, MTS, OAM, QA, Product and Technology teams.
- Experience working directly with sportsbook operators, Managed Trading Services or key customer accounts is highly desirable.
- Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of operator needs and customer expectations.
- Self-motivated, highly analytical and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving trading environment.
