The Apprentice Sports Club (The ASC)
The ASC provides post 9-5 enrichment for apprentices to look forward to after a long, hard day at work. The ASC offers a fortnightly program of sports sessions for apprentices to take part in, destress and have fun.
Not a keen sportsperson, or perhaps recovering from an injury? Join us as a facilitator, to help run the ASC sessions. Earn a free session for every session you facilitate.

This is a non-contractual role where you will be offering your services to the ASC (casual worker agreement).
Responsibilities
- Setting up the hall and equipment for the sport you are facilitating
- Taking a register of attendees, checking their names to the app as they arrive
- Refereeing the session
- Timekeeping - ensuring the session ends with enough time to tidy up
- Leaving the hall as it was found
- General ambassador of the club through word of mouth and social media promotion

Requirements
- Must be an apprentice/ or within 2 years post-apprenticeship
- Basic understanding of the rules of the sport in which you wish to facilitate
- Confident in ability to mediate, in the event of disagreements/arguments
- First-aid certification is preferable
Salary & Benefits
- A fixed per session payment, equivalent to £20 p/h.
- Every session facilitated equals 1 free session you can join as a participant (apprentice facilitators only)
