REMOTE WORKING - Some travel to North West Hotels
The Role Outline: Your Week at a Glance
As our Sports Sales Coordinator, you are the central point of contact for sports teams, agents, and sporting bodies looking to book with Village Hotels. This is a primarily home based role (with occasional hotel visits) where you will take complete ownership of the booking journey. From handling the initial enquiry and issuing proposals, right through to contracting and coordinating the final details with our hotel operations teams, you will ensure every sports client gets a flawless, first class service. Because sports happen at the weekend, this role is 37.5 hours a week, mostly Monday to Friday, with some rotated Friday evenings and weekend work.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play.
We are looking for a confident people person who combines strong administrative skills with a genuine interest in sports. If you have the patience to deal with ever changing details, the commercial drive to convert enquiries into solid bookings, and the emotional intelligence to build brilliant relationships, we will give you the platform to thrive. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
We live our culture through three simple commitments:
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing
We do not just need an administrator; we need a proactive, highly detailed sales coordinator. We trust you to handle:
- The Enquiry Journey: Delivering a first class service. You will handle inbound queries from the sports sector professionally, issuing accurate proposals, answering questions, and driving opportunities right through to conversion.
- The Finer Details: Protecting the data. You will meticulously manage the administrative side of the Sports Desk, recording information accurately in our booking systems, managing invoices, and closing accounts flawlessly.
- The Proactive Push: Generating new business. Working alongside our National Account Manager for Sports, you will research and follow up on new leads, actively selling the benefits of Village Hotels to smash your agreed revenue targets.
- The Operational Link: Making it happen. You will coordinate every specific event detail with our on site hotel operations teams, ensuring that what you promised the client is exactly what is delivered on the day.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your workload from home while still feeling incredibly connected to the wider Central Sales Team. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we offer brilliant training, meaning hotel or venue sales experience is preferred but absolutely not essential if you have the right attitude.
