Basic salary: Up to £30,000 + uncapped commission
Year 1 OTE: £40,000–£60,000 | Year 2 OTE: £50,000–£70,000

About the opportunity

Via is supporting a leading provider of premium sports hospitality experiences to recruit Graduate Sports Sales Executives. This is an opportunity for a sports graduate to turn their passion for sport into a commercial career with strong earning potential and clear progression. You'll be selling premium hospitality packages for some of the world's biggest sporting events, including Formula 1, Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, Six Nations and Premier League football. Previous sales experience isn't essential. We're looking for graduates who are passionate about sport, confident speaking to people and motivated to build a successful career. You'll receive ongoing sales training and coaching, so if you have the personality, ambition and willingness to learn, you'll be given the support to develop the commercial skills you need.

What you'll be doing

  • Speak with businesses about premium hospitality at major sporting events
  • Learn how to identify and approach potential customers
  • Build relationships with decision-makers across a range of industries
  • Use phone, LinkedIn and online research to find new opportunities
  • Understand what clients are looking for and recommend suitable sporting experiences
  • Present hospitality packages for major UK and international events
  • Follow up enquiries and warm leads
  • Build and manage your own portfolio of customers
  • Learn how to negotiate and close new business
  • Keep customer and sales information up to date
  • Manage relationships from initial conversation through to booking
  • Attend occasional networking events and client meetings
  • Work towards achievable sales targets as your experience develops

What we're looking for

This role is particularly suited to graduates from sports-related degrees, including Sports Management, Sports Business, Sports Marketing, Sports Science, Sports Coaching and similar courses. We're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for sport
  • A degree in a sports-related subject, or a strong connection to the sports industry
  • Confidence speaking with new people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ambition and a desire to build a commercial career
  • A competitive and motivated personality
  • Resilience and willingness to learn
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in a target-driven environment
  • Motivation to increase your earnings through uncapped commission

You do not need previous sales experience. Experience from university societies, sports clubs, coaching, hospitality, retail, customer service, part-time work or internships can all be valuable. What matters most is that you're passionate about sport, comfortable talking to people and excited by the opportunity to develop a career in sports sales.
