About Us

AVK Corby is part of the AVK Group, who are market leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of valves, pipe fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment to the Water, Wastewater, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world. AVK Corby is the renowned innovative manufacturer of BS 750 Fire hydrants and resilient seated gate valves for the UK, since 1979. Finished products are stocked at our National Distribution Centre giving the advantage of next day delivery and emergency delivery if required.

About The Role

As a Powder Coating Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to components and operating coating line equipment in line with company standards, procedures and production requirements.

You will work closely with your team to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate coating line equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Apply powder coating to components to a high-quality standard.
  • Follow production schedules and meet agreed production targets.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and 5S housekeeping.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Essential

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.

Desirable

  • Previous powder coating experience.
  • Experience in paint spraying or other industrial spraying applications.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

Working Hours

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.

  • 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday
  • 08:00 – 14:00 Friday
