SPRINKLER DESIGNER
London, United Kingdom | Full-time
I am looking for an experienced Sprinkler Designer to join a well-established team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in sprinkler design who wants to work on technically challenging projects across commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre and other specialist environments.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Designing automatic sprinkler systems from concept through to construction.
- Producing detailed sprinkler layouts, hydraulic calculations and design drawings.
- Coordinating sprinkler designs with architectural, structural and MEP services.
- Preparing detailed design and construction packages.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants and installation teams.
- Supporting projects through installation, testing and commissioning.
- Attending site visits and design coordination meetings.
- Reviewing drawings and resolving technical and coordination issues.
- Helping develop design standards and best practice within the business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in sprinkler system design.
- Strong understanding of sprinkler systems, pipework, valves, pumps and associated equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Knowledge of relevant sprinkler standards and codes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with clients, contractors and internal teams.

Experience working on data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial, healthcare or large-scale residential projects would be highly advantageous.
