SPRINKLER DESIGNER

London, United Kingdom | Full-time

I am looking for an experienced Sprinkler Designer to join a well-established team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in sprinkler design who wants to work on technically challenging projects across commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre and other specialist environments.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Designing automatic sprinkler systems from concept through to construction.
  • Producing detailed sprinkler layouts, hydraulic calculations and design drawings.
  • Coordinating sprinkler designs with architectural, structural and MEP services.
  • Preparing detailed design and construction packages.
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants and installation teams.
  • Supporting projects through installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Attending site visits and design coordination meetings.
  • Reviewing drawings and resolving technical and coordination issues.
  • Helping develop design standards and best practice within the business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience in sprinkler system design.
  • Strong understanding of sprinkler systems, pipework, valves, pumps and associated equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Knowledge of relevant sprinkler standards and codes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with clients, contractors and internal teams.

Experience working on data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial, healthcare or large-scale residential projects would be highly advantageous.
