About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sprinkler Maintenance Engineer to join a well established specialist contractor operating across the South East. This field based Sprinkler Maintenance Engineer role offers a defined service area, modern job management systems, and the support of an experienced office team.

As a Sprinkler Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, testing, inspecting, and maintaining a wide range of wet, dry, and pre action fire sprinkler systems in accordance with BS EN 12845, BS 9990, and LPC Rules. This Sprinkler Maintenance Engineer position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, and inspection of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with BS EN 12845, BS 9990, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Diagnose faults and complete remedial works identified during planned maintenance visits.
  • Produce accurate compliance reports and clearly document defects, recommendations, and completed works.
  • Liaise professionally with site contacts, facilities managers, and client representatives.
  • Manage your own workload across a designated service area using a fully equipped company van.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety while delivering excellent customer service.

Skills and experience required

Essential

  • Proven experience working as a Sprinkler Maintenance Engineer or maintaining wet and dry fire sprinkler systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
  • A conscientious attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.

  • Experience working to recognised industry standards.
  • LPCB or BAFE aligned background.
