About The Role
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in York, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements. This role is integral to supporting a major technology transformation programme within our organization. As a SQL Developer at Fruition Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that support strategic business initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop scalable technical solutions, and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Power BI, and Azure cloud services, contributing significantly to high-impact projects that shape the future of our clients’ businesses.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in SQL Server database development, including designing, building, and optimizing databases and queries.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and report development.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and other reporting solutions.
- Understanding of data modeling principles, ETL processes, and performance tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and cloud-based data solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring they meet business needs and technical standards.
- Design, build, and optimize SQL Server databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Create interactive Power BI dashboards, incorporating data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualizations to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective and scalable technical solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL processes to facilitate data integration and ensure data quality across systems.
- Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft technologies and data management practices to continuously improve solutions.
