About The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join our client's team on a six-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic government environment, supporting the development and maintenance of critical ICT business systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining various ICT solutions, integrations, and management reporting tools in an Agile setting. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, capable of delivering high-quality solutions aligned with the organization’s ICT strategy and enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software development, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including.Net, Visual Studio, and SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and the Power Suite tools.
- Solid understanding of systems integration and implementation processes.
- Ability to analyze technical options and propose effective solutions in line with enterprise architecture standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in software development or database management are advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support ICT business systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs and standards.
- Maintain and enhance existing solutions, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct impact analysis on technical options and recommend suitable solutions aligned with ICT strategy and enterprise architecture.
- Take technical responsibility for all stages of the application management lifecycle, including investigation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Develop and maintain management reporting tools and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Ensure all development work complies with organizational policies, standards, and best practices.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve system performance and security.
