About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join their dynamic team on a contractual basis. This role offers an initial six-month engagement, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. The successful applicant will play a vital role in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining ICT business systems, solutions, integrations, and management reporting within an Agile environment. The position is integral to supporting the delivery of Digital Business services and aligning with the organization's ICT strategy, project, and change management processes. The role requires a proactive professional capable of evaluating technical options, undertaking impact analysis, and proposing innovative solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, data warehousing, and reporting, with proven experience in system integration and implementation. Essential qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft technologies such as.Net, Visual Studio, and SQL Server (including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS). Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, particularly the Power Suite, is also required. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Relevant certifications and previous experience working within government or large public sector organizations will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
- Designing, developing, and supporting ICT business systems and solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Maintaining and supporting existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Participating in the full application management lifecycle, from investigation and analysis to design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define user stories, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Evaluating technical options and conducting impact analysis to inform decision-making.
- Implementing integrations and managing system updates in line with enterprise architecture standards.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the organization’s digital transformation goals.
