About The Role
The Business Data & SQL Developer role at Sammons Recruitment offers a unique opportunity for a technically skilled professional to make a tangible impact on the company's strategic decision-making processes. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, SQL development, and business intelligence tools. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in developing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects is essential. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is highly desirable. The candidate should have a good understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are crucial. Familiarity with system integration, automation, and troubleshooting data issues will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop visually compelling Power BI dashboards and comprehensive business reports tailored to stakeholder requirements.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support reporting and data analysis activities.
- Build automated reporting solutions that minimize manual effort, increase accuracy, and ensure timely delivery of insights.
- Develop and support integrations between various business systems and third-party applications to streamline data flows and enhance system interoperability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate these into effective data solutions.
- Work proactively to improve data quality, governance, and accessibility across the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and technological enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Support ongoing system improvements, troubleshoot data and reporting issues, and ensure high system performance and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine data processes and reporting standards.
