About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer to join Nanny Driver's small but dynamic IT team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a business where your contributions will have a tangible impact on critical systems that support the company's operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of database development, optimization, and maintenance, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of SQL Server environments. The role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and ongoing support. With a hybrid working model of four days in the office and one day from home, this position provides flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, improving existing processes, and contributing to innovative solutions that drive business success.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Developer, with a strong understanding of T-SQL, stored procedures, and database design principles.
- Experience with SQL Server versions 2016 and above, including performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases to support business applications and reporting needs.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other best practices.
- Implement and manage database security protocols to protect sensitive information.
- Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance system functionality.
- Collaborate with software developers, analysts, and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the migration and upgrade of SQL Server environments as required.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
