SQL Developer - Junior/Mid - Glasgow or Edinburgh (2 days onsite, 3 from home) - 43.5K plus Bonus

Lorien’s client, a fast-growing, global-reaching SAAS company with a great reputation in their domain, are currently looking to hire a Junior / Mid level SQL Developer to join their evolving technology team delivering data-driven solutions within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

They’re a great firm with some interesting projects in the pipeline as we speak, offering a range of incentives (including bonuses, hybrid working, private healthcare, recognition rewards, professional development and ongoing upskilling avenues), and friendly people to work with (ask us, we’ve placed a number of them ourselves!), so take a look and apply before it’s too late:

What you’ll get up to:

You’ll play a key role across the delivery lifecycle, including:

  • Configuring and developing solutions based on agreed designs and requirements
  • Working with data to query, manipulate and optimise performance
  • Supporting build activities alongside more senior developers or build leads
  • Carrying out unit testing and end-to-end testing
  • Investigating and resolving defects identified during testing phases
  • Supporting release preparation and deployment activities
  • Contributing to peer reviews and maintaining high delivery standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
