About The Role
The SQL Developer (Graduate / Junior) role at Lorien is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to start or develop their careers in software development, particularly within data-driven environments. Qualifications
- A solid understanding of SQL, including data querying, manipulation, and performance tuning.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS is advantageous.
- Familiarity with unit testing, end-to-end testing, defect management, and release processes.
- Previous exposure to configurable or low-code platforms is a plus.
- Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle and ability to translate requirements into working solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Degree or relevant experience in computer science, information technology, or related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Configuring and developing solutions based on detailed designs and client requirements.
- Querying, manipulating, and optimizing data to ensure high performance and accuracy.
- Supporting build activities alongside senior developers and build leads to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conducting unit testing and end-to-end testing to validate solutions and identify defects.
- Investigating and resolving issues identified during testing phases to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supporting release preparation, deployment activities, and post-deployment support.
- Participating in peer reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and best practices.
- Engaging throughout the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure beyond isolated development tasks.
