Global Tax Data (GTD)

Global Tax Data (GTD) provides data management services and supports program and product initiatives to improve tax data integrity across Amazon's global indirect tax compliance operations. We ensure timely, accurate data is provided for tax compliance reporting and audit readiness. Our teams manage tax data infrastructure, reconciliation tools, and operational reporting for compliance teams worldwide.

As a Sr. Business Analyst in GTD, you will drive data analysis, reconciliation operations, root cause investigations, and process improvements that directly support monthly tax compliance cycles. You will work cross-functionally with tax compliance, finance technology, and accounting teams to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical skills, comfort with large datasets, and the ability to identify patterns, explain variances, and drive issues to resolution independently.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly tax data reconciliation activities, investigating and resolving discrepancies between source systems, tax reporting warehouses, and general ledger
  • Analyze data quality issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions with upstream and downstream teams
  • Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and metrics that provide visibility into reconciliation health and data readiness
  • Own and manage SIM tickets and intake workflows, ensuring timely response and resolution for internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with compliance teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data specifications
  • Document standard operating procedures, runbooks, and process flows for recurring operational activities
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce cycle time, and improve data quality
  • Support audit data requests by extracting, validating, and delivering data packages to auditors and tax authorities
  • Participate in and contribute to Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and operational readiness activities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
