Job Description
The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance (QA), will be primarily responsible for overseeing the quality assurance team at Visa Payments Limited, along with supporting the Director of Quality Assurance Compliance with the ongoing development, implementation and monitoring of AML/Financial Crime compliance controls associated with the regulatory compliance obligations of the firm and other high risk compliance areas.
This role involves strategizing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and systems to ensure the firm maintains its robust approach to compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, Manage and develop a team located in the Philippines. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between team members across time zones and cultures. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to direct reports.
- Assisting the business and Director of Quality Assurance in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the QA program ensure ongoing compliance with processes to mitigate risk and meet regulatory requirements via Quality Assurance.
- Lead in the maintenance and improvement of relevant policy and procedure documentation relating to the role and team.
- Undertake quality assurance checks on internal performance across multiple Compliance processes frameworks ensuring consistencies across the function and feeding back to the Director of Quality Assurance.
- Maintain strong record keeping documentation around testing, changes and rationales.
- Formulation of management information and regular reporting, including but not limited to, regional dashboard and metric reporting on quality assurance findings and progress with projects.
- Analyse monthly MI to establish gaps, develop remediation actions and challenge the effectiveness of current processes and procedures.
- Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality and growth of QA to sufficiently cover high risk compliance areas.
- Partner and maintain strong relationships with cross functional partners and process leads.
- Responsible for the continuous development of effective relationships between all relevant Visa Payments teams and their relevant counterparts within the wider Visa organisation.
- Assist in engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including other functions and departments when applicable.
- Supporting the Director of Quality Assurance with internal audits and regulatory requests, ensuring satisfactory resolution of any audit findings and recommendations.
- Keep knowledgeable with compliance requirements around AML/Financial Crime.
- Supporting the Director of Quality Assurance as required on projects and any other ad hoc regulatory compliance projects.
- Responsible for promoting and embedding a culture of compliance, including delivery of any necessary training and communications.

Qualifications
What we’re after:
Essential:
- A strong detailed understanding of quality assurance along with the core pillars of effective risk management around AML and Financial Crime.
- Recognised compliance and/or audit qualification (ICA, ACAMS or similar) and/or educated to relevant degree level.
- Excellent operational knowledge and understanding of UK regulations and legislation including, but not limited to, the Payment Services Regulations, Criminal Finances Act and their application.
- A strong team player with a positive attitude, who has attention to detail, extremely organised and shows initiative.
- A clear communicator, with a high standard of written English.
- Team management experience – ideally with both domestic and international direct reports.
Preferred:
- At least 5 years’ Quality Assurance experience within Financial Services or cross border payments institution.
- Able to take a flexible and agile approach and respond to changing priorities.
- Adept at working independently and multi-tasking.
