About the Role:

As Sr. Compliance Manager within the Second Line function of TBUK, you will play a leading role in strengthening the Bank’s regulatory compliance and conduct risk framework. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and MLRO, you will provide independent regulatory advice, guidance, oversight and challenge to first-line business teams, while leading delivery of the compliance monitoring plan.

As part of a small team, this broad and high-impact role offers exposure to a wide range of compliance matters and exposure to the senior management team, including the C-suite. You will bring strong leadership, sound judgement, independent working capability, and deep retail banking regulatory expertise to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Advice and Guidance: Deliver timely, accurate Second Line compliance and conduct advice across all products, services, and overarching requirements, including Consumer Duty, conduct risk, SMCR, outsourcing, product governance, vulnerable customers, complaints, and conflicts of interest.
  • Oversight and Challenge: Provide independent challenge and oversight to the First Line of Defence.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong, collaborative relationships that support an effective working environment between Compliance and the business.
  • Frameworks and Policies: Lead the development and implementation of appropriate conduct risk and compliance frameworks and policies.
  • Reporting: Support the production of the monthly Compliance reporting pack.
  • Risk Culture: Support the development of a risk-aware culture through the design and delivery of compliance training as required.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Support the Head of Compliance and MLRO with the day-to-day management of the team, including people management, coaching, development, capacity, and performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
