About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Growth and Strategic Finance team based in London. This role is pivotal in providing accurate, timely, and scalable financial insights that influence strategic decision-making across the company. As part of our dynamic team, you will be instrumental in analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and supporting our growth initiatives. Your work will directly impact how Wise understands its customer segments, regional performance, and the effectiveness of marketing and product strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative analysis, excellent communication skills, and a passion for leveraging data to solve complex business challenges.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess at least three years of experience in a similar analytical role, with a solid foundation in mathematics or quantitative disciplines. Proficiency in SQL is essential, alongside familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and modeling. A strong understanding of statistical concepts and modeling techniques is required, complemented by experience in data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights effectively. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additional desirable qualifications include experience with data modeling in a data warehouse environment, knowledge of testing and experimental design, and familiarity with DBT. Responsibilities

  • Generate insights that inform strategic decisions to enhance company growth and customer experience.
  • Curate and analyze datasets, surface key metrics, and develop statistical models to drive business understanding.
  • Conduct deep dive analyses to identify growth drivers at both company and regional levels.
  • Analyze customer segments and cohorts to understand their contribution to overall growth and revenue.
  • Correlate customer acquisition and activity metrics with marketing and product initiatives to evaluate financial returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate complex data insights clearly.
  • Support the development of scalable data processes and improve data quality and integrity.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and continuously enhance analytical methodologies.
