Role: Sr Data Engineer
Locations: Bristol/ Manchester
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days / week Onsite)
Work Type: Contract

Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers to join feature teams building and productionising cloud-based data products, including work on Master Data Management (MDM) integration and real-time data patterns. This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role for engineers who are comfortable owning a data product end-to-end rather than working on isolated tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy data products on a cloud-based platform using modern ELT/ETL patterns.
  • Write and maintain dbt models, Python pipelines and SQL transformations to a production standard.
  • Contribute to MDM integration and implementation activities, including bespoke and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) MDM solutions.
  • Design and implement real-time data product patterns where required.
  • Build and maintain automated testing, data validation and quality checks.
  • Apply AI-enabled tooling and approaches to speed up development and testing.
  • Work within existing delivery, architecture, security and governance standards.
  • Support deployment, go-live and post-go-live stabilisation activities (DevOps practices).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
