At Xe, we live currencies. We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API, and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app, and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.
About This Role
We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team who will be responsible for building and transforming our technology estate. Working closely with Development and Security, you will create functional systems that will improve the experience of millions of customers. Your challenges include building and deploying products, improving ways to monitor and identify production issues, and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. You will be providing experience, guidance, and support to multiple development teams within the UK and across the globe. Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and run applications in production that are hosted in AWS, VMware, Kubernetes
- Collaborate with development and IT Operations teams to support a continuous delivery model
- Immediately start to transform and grow our existing platforms and services
- Create systems to enable a self-service development environment
- Demonstrate a high-performing 'DevOps' culture
- Deliver zero-downtime deployments and build highly available systems
Position Requirements
- Strong experience with implementing software delivery pipelines.
- Configuration management and IaC. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring systems, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Icinga2, APM
- DevOps - Kubernetes, Github, Artifactory, ElasticSearch, Docker, AWS ECS/EKS
- Hosting services - AWS, VMware, etc.
- Understanding of Linux, Windows servers, and networking.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Desirable: experience running large scale web applications and APIs in production
