Sr Director Analyst - AI and Emerging Technologies Enterprise Strategy
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Director Analyst - AI and Emerging Technologies Enterprise Strategy based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on shaping enterprise strategy around AI and emerging technologies.
You will act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior business leaders, helping them translate rapidly evolving technology into measurable business value.
The role combines deep research, strategic analysis, thought leadership, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-wide AI initiatives.
You will assess market signals, emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and business challenges to develop practical, forward-looking recommendations.
Your insights will influence technology strategies, business process redesign, investment decisions, and the adoption of AI at scale.
Working remotely within a global, multicultural environment, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, research peers, and industry leaders.
The position offers substantial visibility, intellectual ownership, and the opportunity to shape how organizations navigate the evolving AI landscape.
Accountabilities:
- Develop innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged research and insights on AI, emerging technologies, and enterprise strategy.
- Create actionable recommendations that help senior leaders address mission-critical business and technology priorities and accelerate decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify root causes of business challenges, reframe strategic thinking, and develop practical approaches to enterprise transformation.
- Research and anticipate market trends, technology shifts, competitive dynamics, and emerging signals to inform technology investment and business strategy.
- Advise C-suite executives, senior business leaders, clients, and prospects through virtual and face-to-face engagements, providing clear and actionable guidance.
- Demonstrate thought leadership by establishing credible positions on AI and emerging technology topics and influencing broader research agendas.
- Evaluate opportunities, risks, and market signals surrounding innovative technologies, helping leaders make informed investment and adoption decisions.
- Create and deliver high-value presentations, briefings, and keynote materials for executive audiences, industry events, professional associations, and client engagements.
- Support commercial and client engagement activities by providing market expertise and helping teams connect insights to clients’ strategic priorities.
- Review research and content produced by peers to ensure high standards of quality, relevance, accuracy, and practical value.
- Build credibility as a recognized subject matter expert and effectively communicate research methodologies, strategic perspectives, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with research and insights colleagues on innovation, ideation, research development, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve research processes and develop new approaches that enhance the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
- Mentor and coach more junior colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing research community.
- Maintain a strong client-centric approach by proactively creating opportunities for meaningful and ongoing engagement with research and insights.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant industry or professional experience, with substantial expertise in technology strategy, AI, enterprise transformation, or a related field.
- Direct, hands-on leadership experience delivering enterprise-wide AI implementation programs across both IT and business functions, including successfully scaling initiatives from pilot through production.
- Proven experience advising C-suite executives and senior business leaders on technology strategy, business transformation, and process redesign in the context of AI and emerging technologies.
- Strong technical understanding of emerging technologies, including agentic AI, and their implications for workflows, operating models, and business process transformation.
- Ability to assess emerging market signals and translate them into informed decisions around technology investments, balancing innovation opportunities with business and implementation risks.
- Exceptional executive presence, with the ability to establish credibility quickly and communicate effectively with senior executives and diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and presentation capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop defensible conclusions.
- Strong ability to explain sophisticated technical and strategic concepts clearly, concisely, and in business-relevant language.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information, recognize patterns, apply strategic frameworks, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong business and financial acumen, combined with a deep understanding of relevant global markets and competitive landscapes.
- Comfortable presenting to both small executive groups and large audiences at conferences, industry events, and professional forums.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a highly matrixed, multicultural, and globally distributed environment.
- Learning agility and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and rapidly changing technology landscapes.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, where applicable.
