- Influence decision-making at senior levels of the organization by translating legal requirements and risk assessments into actionable business guidance and facilitating effective outcomes.
- Advise on and coordinate cross-border employment matters, ensuring consistency of approach while accounting for local legal requirements, business needs, and cultural considerations.
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and proactively advise leadership on emerging risks, trends, and compliance obligations, translating legal developments into strategic actions and governance priorities.
- Develop, review, and implement employment-related policies, practices, governance frameworks, libraries and guidelines, and employee documentation to support business objectives and legal compliance.
- Manage internal investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblower reports, executive employee relations issues, and other sensitive workplace matters.
- Support strategic business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, business integrations, organizational transformations, international expansions, and other enterprise-wide projects with employment law implications, serving as a key advisor on workforce-related risk and governance considerations.
- Select, manage, and oversee external counsel globally, ensuring high-quality legal advice, efficient matter management, and cost-effective outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
