Job Title: Senior UI Engineer

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're proud to work for a mission-driven company leveraging AI to transform the way we work. CrowdStrikers drive their careers through flexibility and autonomy while also being expected to contribute to a culture of responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation. We use an AI-first mindset as a force multiplier to proactively and continuously accelerate execution, build expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex problems. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join Data Platform Experiences, a new team inside CrowdStrike's Data Platform group. Our charter is to own the customer-facing surface of the Data Platform: making it easy to publish new data and to find, understand, and query existing data.

That work spans three pillars:

  • A centralized UI/UX capability specialized in data-first interactions (schema exploration, lineage, query surfaces, semantic layers)
  • The Data Platform Concierge — an agentic front door that turns a business question into the right dataset with the right context
  • Self-service onboarding and enablement so new consumers and domain teams can operate without a tour guide

If you get excited about building a UI that turns dense, technical data surfaces into experiences people can actually use — dashboards, query builders, exploration tools, semantic layer UIs, and the agentic surfaces that increasingly sit on top of them — we want you on our team.

Our frontend stack is a mix. External customer-facing work is transitioning from an Ember-based platform to a new UX that keeps Ember at its core (routing, services, dependency injection) while opening the door to Web Components, Lit, and other frameworks at the page and component level. React has a meaningful footprint today, especially in our AI-adjacent surfaces, where it typically lives inside a Web Component host. TypeScript runs through most of it. Internal tooling has room for other modern frameworks where they fit. You'll work across all of it, and you'll help shape the shared component language the rest of the Data Platform builds on.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and build data-first UI surfaces — schema exploration, lineage, query, semantic modeling, dashboards, and the interfaces around the Data Platform Concierge.
  • Contribute to and extend a shared component language used across Data Platform surfaces so consumers get a consistent experience wherever they land.
  • Partner closely with UX, backend, and platform engineers to turn platform primitives into experiences a consumer can walk through on their own.
  • Raise the bar on frontend engineering practices — testing, build and deploy pipelines, component architecture, and accessibility — in a large, complex application landscape.
  • Mentor other engineers on the team and act as a design-review partner for customer-facing surfaces across the Data Platform group.

What You’ll Need:

  • TypeScript & Modern JavaScript: Strong proficiency with TypeScript, ES6+, and modern JavaScript patterns for large-scale applications.
  • Frontend framework depth: Strong working knowledge of at least one major JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, Ember, or similar). We care more about depth of understanding than which framework you've used.
  • Web Components & Lit: Experience building reusable UI components with the Web Components API and Lit (or similar declarative component libraries).
  • Data Visualization: Hands-on experience with charting/visualization libraries (amCharts, D3.js, or similar) and building interactive dashboards.
  • Frontend Architecture: Solid grasp of component architecture patterns, dependency injection, state management, and modular design in large codebases.
  • Build Tooling & Monorepos: Experience with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack), package managers (pnpm/npm), and monorepo architectures (Nx, Turborepo, or similar).
  • Build & Deploy Pipelines: Familiarity with frontend CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines) in large, complex applications.
  • Git / version control workflows: Comfort operating in a fast-moving, multi-repo environment.
  • A relentless pursuit of simple, intuitive user experience and design, especially for technical audiences who don't have time for a confusing UI.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with Vitest, Playwright, or similar tooling for unit, integration, and E2E testing.
  • XML / Schema Knowledge: Familiarity with XML schemas (XSD) or configuration-driven UI patterns.
  • API Integration: Experience with REST, GraphQL, or similar data query patterns.
  • Experience building UI surfaces that sit on top of LLMs, agents, or MCP-style tooling.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
  • Interest and experience with data visualization and information design (D3, ThreeJS, Observable, etc.).
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, data platforms, or developer-tools domains.
